Hi, are you still around?
I did a quick search today, of any Hohls family names in Norway.
And I found this link of yours - referencing:
Johann Heinrich Hohls b 30.Mar.1842, d 26.Sep.1911

If this is indeed factually correct - it means my ancestors family came from Norway.
Johann Heinrich Hohls is referenced in my family tree.

wow i think i maybe saw something once too. Not sure about it. I suppose maybe some fled through to norway and stayed?
I will check the death locations here http://www.online-ofb.de/namelist.php?nachname=HOHLS&ofb=soltau&modus=&lang=de
and the celle nord celle west celle south etc. and the meta search. and of course hoels spelling variations.

As far as i have stated i usually say from celle. not sure what link you had. i may have included it for observation but no proof that i know for sure. if dates are correct?? i just dont know what to make of it.. i shall have to get back to you. sorry i missed your post earlier. i dont make it to this site as much as I intended.
